PARK HUNT DATES:

The entire park will be closed from 12pm January 3rd and will reopen at 12pm on January 6.
Trails are closed to horseback riders after rainfall. Check conditions before you come by calling the park.
When traveling to either the Cooper Lake State Park Doctors Creek Unit or South Sulphur Unit, please check the Texas Department of Transportation's website or call 1-800-452-9292 for road closures as State Highway 71 (SH71) often closes when it rains.
If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.
DAY USE FEE:
$5 per day, per person 13 and older.
OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
Park does not have a gate.
This is Doctor's Creek branch of the park on the north side of the lake. It is closer to the town of Cooper, not Sulphur Springs.
The Boat ramp has 3 lanes with 1 of them being handicap accessible.

Day Use and customers arriving after the office closes at 5pm will find a list of fees and instructions for self-pay at the Self-Pay Station at the Park Headquarters. If you possess the correct change, you may also register for the first night using the Self-Pay Station (located at Headquarters) but you will still need to report to Headquarters the following morning by 9 a.m. to complete the registration process. customers with reservation shall occupy unmarked/unoccupied sites only. All customers arriving after-hours must register at the Park Headquarters by 9am the next morning.
FOR SCREENED SHELTER/CABIN:
If arriving late, check the site assignment at the Park Headquarters. The facility will be unlocked and the key will be left inside. All customers arriving after-hours must register at the Park Headquarters by 9am the next morning.
